black. earth. provisions.
black. earth. provisions. is seeded by a vision of a liberated Black food future. We bridge the vibrant Harlem community and our belief that all Black farmers in New York State should be able to grow with dignity in right relationship with the land.
We are not seeking to do anything new – but scaling what already exists:
Black farmers nourishing Black communities.

nOURISHING COMMUNITY, EMPOWERING BLACK FARMERS
black earth is an ecosystem in practice. A brick-and-mortal retail market, hybrid farmstop, and a community gathering hub in Harlem, NYC, we invest in Black farmers’ access to a sovereign, Black-owned supply chain.
Our non-extractive market is a solidarity economy strategy in response to Black farmers’ need for affordable access to last-mile delivery offerings and entry to markets, and the community's desire for regenerative, culturally relevant food in Harlem and beyond.
What We Do

Hybrid Farm Stop + Market
We stock an assortment of seasonal, regeneratively-grown and culturally relevant offerings, meat, and value-add products from Black farmers in New York State.

Community Gathering Hub
Building a home + venue for community events, a teaching kitchen, co-working, workshops, and organizing for a sovereign food system.

Value-Add Production
Onsite value-add processing and product creation is available for our farmers, diverting surplus produce throughout the supply chain from waste.
